About me
my story
Curious, empathetic,
meticulous,
hardworking, cheerful,
sensitive.
Hi, I'm Maia
A 23-year-old graphic designer currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, and Design at Nett Digital School. Although I now live in the Basque Country, my story began in Geneva in 2002, and has been shaped by movement, change, and a blend of cultures ever since.
I grew up between different places, Geneva, Madrid, Lima, and Panama, each one has given me a different way of seeing the world. Geneva was the beginning, Madrid my childhood, Lima introduced me to a completely new culture and Panama taught me to live with diversity. Throughout those years, attending French schools gave me a stable foundation while keeping me connected to my family roots.
That experience has shaped not only who I am, but also how I understand design.
My way of seeing design
My interest in design began in my teenage years, but it only grew into a way of thinking and communicating over time. I see design as a tool for making sense of things, building identity, and connecting with people.
I specialize mainly in branding, visual identity, photography, and motion graphics. I don’t see these as separate disciplines, but as parts of a single language that lets me build coherent, distinctive visual worlds.
I approach every project as unique, with its own process. It’s never just about creating something visually appealing, it’s about developing work with coherence, intention, and a long-term vision.
aiamdesign
aiamdesign grew out of this way of understanding design: as a living process, in constant transformation.
It’s a space where ideas grow, evolve, and become meaningful identities. My goal is to build projects that connect with people and leave a lasting impression.
Looking ahead, I’d love to build my own design studio together with my mother, with whom I share a very close way of understanding creativity.
